In total, 126 cribs were displayed, coming from different European nations such as Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia. Many of these countries are represented by their respective embassies to the Holy See.

Nativity scenes made of different materials

According to a note released by the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization, the cribs that are part of this exposition synthesize the inspiration and imagination of the craftsmen that make them.

Also part of the exhibit is original cribs from private organizations, such as the crib made with the front of a bus, or the crib made with one hundred kilos of chocolate. In addition, there are also cribs from the parishes of Rome and from 30 schools in the Lazio region that voluntarily joined the initiative, creating cribs made by the children. (EPC)
