Among the 13 Pilgrim Images of the shrine, Virgin No. 5 has been entrusted to this diocese from October 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023. After going from parish to parish, surrounded by all the WYD registrants in the diocese, it ended with a procession of the Pilgrim Image in Nanterre.

On May 12 and 13, the image of Our Lady undertook a great procession, crossing the Diocese of Nanterre, specifically by the waterway between Issy-les-Moulineaux and Rueil-Malmaison. Throughout its journey, the young people of the diocese registered for WYD accompanied the image, living a wonderful experience of faith and fraternity.

The image was installed in front of Philippe Masquelier’s boat, which accompanied the procession of the Pilgrim Virgin on the Seine. He explained that Providence wanted him to have a boat in Paris. Thus, he happily accepted the request to take the image of Our Lady on it.
