Children ask St. Joseph to take care of them as he took care of baby Jesus
Newsroom – Argentina – Buenos Aires (October 15, 2021, 10:20 PM, Gaudium Press) The Archdiocese of Buenos Aires will celebrate a Mass for children next Saturday, October 16.
The Mass, which will be in honor of St. Joseph, has a very particular motto in relation to the Patriarch of the Holy Family. With the request “St. Joseph, take care of us as you took care of Jesus” the children will gather in the parish of San Jose del Talar.
After months of social estrangement, the Archdiocese stressed the importance of this meeting. Before the celebration, which will be presided by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Mario Aurelio Poli, the meeting of the children will begin with a theatrical play. A dream of St. Joseph will be dramatized by the group of artists Sagrado Teatro.
The children’s ministry, responsible for organizing the meeting, said that “our reality makes us permanently rethink our actions to be able to celebrate them”, so they invite us to “go out into the streets, courtyards, and squares to celebrate in a festive way, feeling united by the same God who loves us and encourages us to the mission of encounter”.
The donation of non-perishable food has also been encouraged. The children are invited to donate food to help those in need because this increases their spirit of sharing when they see a person in need.
In addition to the theater and the Holy Mass, the children will present a missionary cross made by all of them with small tree branches. (FM)
