Hundreds gathered in São Paulo, Brazil, for the Militia of the Immaculate annual May crowning, celebrating Our Lady with prayer, Mass, and community.

May is traditionally the Marian month, dedicated to the Mother of God and our Mother. Popular piety customarily holds the crowning of Our Lady throughout this month and especially on its closing day, May 31, which liturgically commemorates the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth.
At the Militia of the Immaculate, the crowning of Our Lady is a tradition that, every year at the end of May, gathers hundreds of people seeking to honor the Mother of God and our Mother. And this year will be no different. On May 31, Saturday, once again, the devotees of Our Lady will gather to honor our Mother with a special program that is being lovingly prepared for this moment.
The event begins at 9:00 a.m. with the recitation of the Missionary Rosary. At 10:30 a.m., there will be a celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Friar Sebastião Benito Quaglio, followed by the crowning ceremony. And to make the celebration in honor of our Mother even more special, there will be a food court available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Militia of the Immaculate is an international Public Association of the Faithful of Pontifical Right, founded in 1917 by Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe. Present in Greater São Paulo for 37 years, the institution welcomes thousands of people each year at its headquarters in Riacho Grande, São Bernardo do Campo, SP, coming from various parts of the country to experience moments of prayer, spirituality, and formation.
The Institution maintains the Padre Kolbe Foundation for Radio and Television, which operates the Immaculate Network of Communication, with radio and TV stations, a YouTube channel, a portal, as well as three print magazines and digital media profiles.
