The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes in France launched a new application called “Pray with Lourdes”, at the beginning of the year. The digital application was developed to keep faithful and pilgrims connected to the daily activities of the sanctuary.

The new app allows people to participate remotely in the day-to-day life of the sanctuary, enabling them to request prayers, participate in masses, entrust their intentions to the priests and nuns of Lourdes, and even virtually light a candle to the Virgin. Initially developed in four languages – French, English, Spanish, and Italian – the app will certainly have other languages added in the future. Priests, religious, and laypeople from the Sanctuary of Lourdes are responsible for managing and animating the app, making it accessible to everyone, whether beginners, experienced individuals, regular practitioners, or those who are simply curious.
Daily encounter with peace and meditation
The device offers a daily encounter with peace and meditation, inviting each person to discover a little more about the site of the apparitions. The app is not only intended for virtual use. For those who wish to visit Lourdes, it assists in the preparation and organization of the pilgrimage, offering an interactive map, real-time schedules for masses, processions, and celebrations, as well as practical information about the history of the Sanctuary, accessible with a simple click on the map. The app is completely free and provides open access to information. “Pray with Lourdes” was developed to be an invitation to make a pilgrimage to Lourdes and stay connected to the Massabielle grotto.
