Jesus is in a Hurry to Open Chapels of Perpetual Adoration in Spain

The European country has more than 60 chapels, all under the responsibility of the Missionaries of the Most Holy Eucharist.

Newsdesk (27/07/2022 11:45 AM, Gaudium Press) The Missionaries of the Most Holy Eucharist are responsible for the growth in the number of chapels of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout Spain. In total, there are now more than 60 chapels throughout the country.

Requirements for Opening a Chapel of Perpetual Adoration

Missionary Eufemino Romano, in an interview with the ACI Agency, stressed that the group wishes to open spaces for Eucharistic adoration. “The Lord is in a hurry to open chapels, because the weeds are growing in the world in a brutal way,” he said.

According to him, the requirements for opening new chapels are only four: to pray a lot; to have a sufficient number of people to cover all shifts; to have a priest who has permission from the Bishop; and to have a chapel where perpetual adoration can take place.

Map Listing the Chapels in Spain

A map, distributed during the summer months, lists all the dozens of Perpetual Adoration Chapels scattered throughout Spain. The aim of the dissemination is to encourage the faithful who are on holiday to collect themselves in prayer in one of the temples.

In 2021, four new chapels were opened in Spain (San Sebastian de los Reyes, Granada, Manresa and Tarragona). This year, 2022, the opening of more chapels is already planned. For this, Romano encourages those who can help, to contact the group.

Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament

The Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament are a public clerical association of diocesan right whose charism is the promotion, organization and foundation of perpetual adoration in parishes and dioceses.
