Check out what Pope Francis is doing this week!

Rome, Italy (Monday, 06-22-2015, Gaudium Press) Pope Francis’ busy week began in Turin on Sunday, June 21st, when he prayed in front of the Holy Shroud. 

On Monday, June 22nd, the Pope will remain in Turin.  He plans to visit the Waldensian Temple of Turin and meet with members of that Church. He will be the first Pope to visit that type of church and will also deliver a speech.

Later in the day, the Pope will have a private lunch with family members who live in the area. He will fly back to Rome in the afternoon.

The Pope’s week will be relatively quiet until Wednesday, June 24. That’s when he will hold his weekly general audience in St. Peter’s Square. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend.

On Saturday, a vote will take place to consider several Causes of Canonization, during an Ordinary Public Consistory at the Vatican. Among them are the parents of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

The Pope will pray the Angelus prayer from the window of the Apostolic Palace at noon on June 28th.
