Newsroom (13/07/2025, Gaudium Press) The general manual for the Youth Jubilee is now available online. It contains all the information needed to prepare for the great event that will take place in Rome from July 28 to August 3.

The Youth Jubilee includes a rich program of celebrations, meetings, and festivities that will involve hundreds of thousands of young people from all over the world. All will have the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to the Holy Doors and receive the Jubilee Indulgence through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

In addition, young people will have the opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV at the prayer vigil on Saturday, August 2, and at Mass on Sunday, August 3, at Tor Vergata University.

The Handbook provides practical information on the program, the trip, the Pilgrim Kit, and the Jubilee Pass, as well as information on transportation and meals. The same information is available on the official “Iubilaeum25” app, available on the App Store for iOS and the Play Store for Android.

The program

As for the details of the program, the arrival of the groups starts on Monday, July 28. On Tuesday, July 29, at 7:00 p.m., a welcoming Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Square, while on the following days (July 30 and 31), from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., a Dialogue with the City will take place, with a series of cultural, artistic and spiritual activities in the main squares of Rome.

Friday, August 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., will be a “Penitential Day”. At the Circus Maximus, all young people will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for the culminating day of the Jubilee dedicated to them.

Saturday, August 2, will be the day of the meeting with Pope Leo XIV at Tor Vergata University. In this historic and symbolic place, John Paul II met with young people from all over the world during the Jubilee of 2000.

The Holy Door

In addition, during the event, all groups will have the opportunity to cross the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica without reservation. Given the expected high turnout, participants are encouraged to approach the event with patience and a welcoming spirit, prepared to face the lines and waiting times.

Access to the Holy Door will be possible from 8:00 a.m. To cross the Holy Door of St. Peter’s, it is necessary to go to Piazza Pia, where volunteers will welcome the various pilgrims and groups and lead them on a guided pilgrimage to the Door.

The “Testimonium”

By participating in the Jubilee events or making a pilgrimage to the Holy Door, it is possible to obtain a testimonium or official certificate attesting to the pilgrimage and visit to the Tombs of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul.

This certificate can be requested online and then picked up only at the Jubilee Information Point in Via della Conciliazione. It will be personalized by indicating the names of the volunteers present.

Pass and transportation

Regarding technical and logistical information, each person registered for the Jubilee will receive a pass according to the package purchased during registration. The pass, which must be visible at all times, also includes a ticket for food and transportation.

Each registrant will receive an official Jubilee kit that includes a Jubilee bag, two T-shirts, a cap, a recycled plastic bottle, a handkerchief, and a rosary.

For the Youth Jubilee, transportation routes will be expanded, and accessibility to Jubilee areas and events will be ensured for people with disabilities. Visually and hearing-impaired people are recommended to download the “Vatican for All” app to follow the main events.

“Julia”, a virtual assistant for all pilgrims

Among the new services that the City of Rome will offer to young pilgrims arriving in Rome is “Julia,” a virtual assistant accessible through an app and a website.

It provides useful information for pilgrims, including travel information such as waiting times on public transportation, train connections, airport connections, and cab fares.

In addition, for those interested, “Julia” offers tips for enjoying the city, including restaurant suggestions based on area, pilgrim type, and budget, as well as municipal information points, restrooms, cultural sites, museums, and events.

The virtual assistant also provides access to the calendar of Jubilee celebrations, updates on duty pharmacies, emergency waiting times, and Civil Protection alerts.
